August 29th and 30th from 7-9pm
5 Males, 2 Females & 1 Male Voice Over
ALL ROLES ARE OPEN
WILLIE CLARK: (M, 65-80) One half of the great vaudeville comedy team, “Lewis & Clark.” Willie is a bitter, sarcastic, caustic old man but hasn’t lost his comedic knack. He is always dead-on with punch lines and timing.
AL LEWIS: (M, 65-80) The other half of the team. Al is the temperate straight man to Willie’s explosive temperament, yet he can dish it out on an equal level with a smart, dry wit.
BEN SILVERMAN: (M, 30-45) Willie’s nephew and agent. Ben cares very much for his uncle. He tries to find work for Willie, but Willie’s age and personality create roadblocks.
EDDIE: (M, 20-35) A young Production Assistant. Everything falls on his shoulders as he tries to get this production ready for broadcast.
PATIENT: (M, any age) He is an actor playing the role of a patient for the broadcast. He can be a bit overacted and come across as a hypochondriac.
BURLESQUE NURSE: (F, 20-30) Also part of the production. This character’s purpose is to be the object of lewd sexual jokes. She should be curvy and appear not so bright.
REGISTERED NURSE: (F, 40-60) She is savvy and practical, but also enjoys caring for Willie. She seems to be the only person who breaks through his crusty exterior.
VOICE of the TV DIRECTOR: (M, any age) Not seen.
Rehearsals begin early September and average three evenings per week.
Ages refer to the characters’ age ranges, not the actors.
There will be cold readings from the script at auditions.
